This is a major ski resort in France that has maintained its old-world village charm. There is a pretty square and traditional market held weekly, but also all the modern day amenities tourists expect. Intermediate skiers will enjoy La Clusaz the most because the runs are ideal for this level. The place is mostly known for the presence of freestyle and enthusiasts will love it. The commute can be easily done from Geneva airport and it is less crowded than some of the more internationally renowned Alpine resorts. Grimentz is well known among day trippers so people who like to beat the crowd and enjoy a day’s skiing in the mountains should visit. The town is quite lovely and has a homely warmth about it. The nearest airport to Grimentz is Geneva.

Whistler is a very popular ski resort, famous for its crazy ski terrain. People come back over and over because it is so memorable. More than 200 pistes are available at the resort. It held the winter Olympics in 2010 and snow is present throughout the year. Perfect for skiers and snowboarders and the views are mind blowing on the slopes. Niseko has three major resorts to choose from and a pass can be collected to visit all of them. With the influx of foreign visitors they have amped up facilities and services, so there are plenty of lifts present in each resort and they have planned adventures and other activities for all age groups.
