Me and my girlfriend spent a romantic weekend in Bruges in February and we couldn’t recommend it enough!

Made famous by the film, In Bruges, the town is simply magical, with walks along the canal at night time, and visits to the Markt and Belfry the highlights of our visit. We would also recommend the boat ride along the canals and horse and carriage tour through the cobblestone streets and alleyways to see all the sights Bruges has to offer.  The food was good (waffles are a must!) and the people kind and welcoming.

With the journey by train approx. 2 hours – it’s an affordable, worthwhile European destination, especially for a weekend break.
