The miles of golden sandy beach to the South and the miles of chalk pebbled beach to the North, the white chalk cliffs, the harbour, the boats, the bird life, the clean air, fish and chips. Bempton RSPB bird sanctuary, fishing from the beach or harbour wall or angling boat, golf at two separate courses, sailing in Bridlington Bay, the Royal Yorkshire Yacht Club, walking, wind surfing, kite boarding. Live concerts at the Spa, trips on the Yorkshire Bell, the view of Flamborough head and Bempton cliffs from the sea, Sewerby Park and Hall, Cricket on Sewerby cliff top, bowling greens, beach donkeys, deck chairs, rock pools. Bridlington Railway Station Buffet with its amazing collection of railway memrobilia and fantastic summer-time floral displays. The brightly painted little hotels and guest houses that really try and go that extra yard, pubs with real ale, beer gardens and cafes with sea views, the Old Town, antique shops and quaint old world pubs. The Bayle Museum, the Priory Church, Bridlington Town AFC, Bridlington RUFC, Thornwick Bay, Danes Dyke, South Landing Flamborough Lighthouse ( you must climb it and see the view). Bridlington Lifeboat stations open to the public, the Amy Johnson collection at Sewerby Hall. Bridlington’s young wet suited wall jumpers (I won’t call them tombstoners because that is something else all together). The future Marina and the development of Hilderthorpe road (can we please get on with this at least knock the properties down and landscape the site).  I could go on for hours but suffice to say I love the place.
