Fantastico pasto at Jamie’s Italian, Canary Wharf. Should we decide to eat in the West End where we were, or find a less hectic environment to feed the family? We chose to head along to Canary Wharf and see if anywhere was open in the Docklands on a Sunday.
We drove around and although there were several places open along the dockside that we could have tried, Jamie’s Italian stood out as a familiar name (Jamie Oliver) and with weary children in tow from an afternoon of walking round museums, the convenient car park under Waitrose nearby, won us over. We only needed to check that the children’s menu was suitable first and to this end, a waitress at the front of house was super friendly and very helpful.
Once seated our waiter was attentive, charming and knowledgeable regarding our questions about the menu. We all had a different main course, including one of the specials, Cod Supreme, which came swiftly to our table. Our waiter, the Floor Manager Kostas Katsis and Sous Chef Daniel Santos, all played their part impeccably, the kind of staff any restaurant would be glad to have working from them. The food was delicious, presented beautifully and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal in a very warm and pleasant atmosphere.
We left feeling totally satisfied, couldn’t ask for MORE!!! from Oliver. A very big thank you to everyone at Jamie’s Italian, Canary Wharf.
