The Star Restaurant and Bar has been established for just over 1 year and it has been an absolutely amazing journey so far for everyone involved.
In a very short space of time The Star already claims to offer the Best Roast in Essex and is, we believe, a dining experience unrivalled in the area. Situated in the delightful, historic village of Thaxted, not far from Stansted Airport, our 15th century inn has undergone extensive refurbishment and is now a stylish French restaurant, combining an intimate ambience with old world charm.
Owner, Marc Laverriere, brings many years of experience and his passion for good food and wine to your dining table:

We strive to create the finest of French cuisine using only quality ingredients, locally sourced where possible, accompanied by the best wine, thoughtfully chosen to complement each dish.”
