Pushkar is a sacred site in the Ajmer district of western India selected by Lord Brahma. Brahma is the lord creator of worlds. The picturesque pilgrim city is referred to as Trit – Raj or King of the Pilgrim Centers and is home to the only Brahma temple in the world!
Without a holy dip in the sacred waters of Pushkar, char sham pilgrimage is incomplete. The beautiful Pushkar Lake is surrounded by 52 bathing ghats. Brahma ghat is very sacred and is particularly important during the fair, religious rituals, prayer and festival.
PUSHKAR FAIR : In the Hindu calendar month of Kartik Poornima, around October – November. Many pilgrims come to Pushkar during the fair.
