Each year Lincoln’s historic streets make for an exciting race featuring some of the country’s top cyclists for the Lincoln Grand Prix.
The annual sporting event includes a gruelling climb up the cobbled Michaelgate and a spectacular finish line sprint in Castle Square – nestled between Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral.
Join the enthusiasts that line Lincoln’s streets during this festival of cycling to cheer on the racers or, if you’re feeling particularly sporty, take part in the sportive on the days before the main event.
In 2015, the Lincoln Grand Prix (25th – 28th June) celebrated its 60th anniversary and welcomed British Cycling’s National Road Race Championships bringing names such as Mark Cavendish, Geraint Thomas, Peter Kennaugh, Alex Dowsett, Lizzie Armitstead, Laura Trott and Dame Sarah Storey to try out the course.
